On 3rd of February, the Ukrainian troops shelled the settlement of Staromikhaylovka — they used weaponry of IFV. As a result of the shelling — the roof, windows and facade of two residential buildings were damaged. No-one was injured.

On the morning of 4th of February, the Ukrainian troops once again fired from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms at the settlement of ‘Trudovskaya mine’, located in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. As a result of the shelling, a residential building burned down completely. 4 houses were damaged. Thankfully none of the civilians were injured.

On 5th of February, 2020, at 8 o’clock in the morning, the outskirts of the town of Gorlovka were heavily shelled by the Ukrainian forces — they used weaponry that was banned by the Minsk agreements. More than twenty of 120mm mortar shells were fired at the village near the mine 6/7. Most of the shells hit a local school, the basement of which the locals used to hid from the shelling. Several shells pierced the concrete floors. Thankfully no-one was hurt. The DPR’s human rights ombudsman, Daria Morozova, stated that such shelling of a bomb shelter with people inside violates not only the Minsk agreements, but also the international law.

The Ukrainian troops continue to lay mines in the contact line of Donbass, despite the ceasefire. In their turn, the sapper units of the People’s Militia of the LPR continue their work to demine the frontline territories.

The residents of the Ukrainian-controlled village of Krasnogorovka, to the west of the city of Donetsk, demanded the Ukrainian troops to withdraw the armored vehicles, used to shell the DPR, away from their village — the People’s Militia Department announced. The largest amount of Ukrainian weaponry was spotted in the settlements of Bogdanovka, Berezovoye, Novognatovka and Granitnoye. According to the intelligence — similar cases take place all the time in the frontline zone, on the territory of the Republic that is being temporarily controlled by Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the year, the People’s Militia of the LPR shot down 5 Ukrainian UAVs that tried to cross the contact line.
