The Ukrainian nationalists attacked the deputy head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Sergey Sivokho, during his presentation of the ‘National Platform for the Reconciliation and Unity in Donbass’. 30 minutes after the start of the event, one of the radicals began to insult Sergei Sivokho by calling him a traitor. After several minutes of insults, the nationalists surrounded the organizer of the conference, and began to push him to the exit — the man fell as the result. Once back on his feet, Sergey Sivokho left the building. The project description states that the mission of the platform is to bring together the government initiatives and the public sector in order to develop the public policies. It focuses on building a dialogue between the civilians all over Ukraine, including the temporarily uncontrolled territories. The project will be assisted by the so-called “ambassadors” — people with unconditional authority on the both sides of the contact line — during the creation of the discussion platforms.
