On the morning of 17th of March, the Kuibyshevsky district of the city of Donetsk was shelled. The Ukrainian troops fired more than 10 120mm and 82mm mortar shells at the residential sector of the Oktyabrsky microdistrict.

On 17th of March, as a result of shelling of the village of Donetskii, 4 residential buildings were damaged. The representatives of the LPR at the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire recorded the consequences of the shelling. During the analysis of the fragments of the used ammunition and the damage itself — it was found out that the shelling of the village of Donetskii was done with 120mm mortars, prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Some fragments of a mortar shell were found at the site of the shelling.

At 7 in the morning of 17th of March the Ukrainian troops opened fire on the settlements of the DPR. As a result of the shelling from the positions near the village of Vodyanoye — an apartment building at Marshal Zhukov Avenue, house 15, was damaged by a 120mm mortar shell. About 40 windows and a gas pipeline were broken. The Ukrainian troops opened fire from the village of Novotroitskoye at the village of Dokuchaevsk — they used 82mm mortars, large-caliber and small arms. As a result of the shelling — 4 houses were damaged in the villages of Dokuchaevsk and Yasnoye. A boiler house and an oil refinery were damaged as well.

On 18th of March, at 23:35, the Ukrainian troops opened fire from the village of Opitnoe at the villages of Spartak and Gorky, located to the north from the city of Donetsk. A local gas pipeline, a boiler room, and the power lines were damaged.

The 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian army shelled a settlement of Frunze with 82-mm mortars. As a result of the shelling of the village — a local power line and residential buildings were damaged at the following addresses: Yalta, 1 and 7, Krymskaya, 25.

The Ukrainian troops placed 40 anti-tank mines along the road near the village of Luganskoe, in the zone of the so-called “combined forces operation”. This was announced at a briefing by the official representative of the LPR People’s Militia — Yakov Osadchy. He noted that in order to prevent the discovery of the Ukrainian military equipment, deployed in violation of the Minsk agreements, the Ukrainian troops continue to obstruct the work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission by mining the areas near the highways, used both by the OSCE patrols and the civilians.
